Remember, and Pray

Father God,

You are so merciful and filled with grace. You answer our prayers, guide us, and teach us all things about you. Lord, thank you for those you bring into our lives—those who enrich our understanding of you and help us in our service. We thank you for knowing who we need to lift us up in our Christian life before we know we need them.

Lord, thank you for spending time with us in fellowship. Thank You for using us, Your servants, and bringing those who do not know You before us so that the door to eternity may be opened and You may grant them salvation, starting them on their Christian Walk.

Lord, forgive us for our transgressions, for we are weak. Help us grow in sanctification so that we may turn further and further from our sins because we know we cannot do it on our own. Convict us, Holy Spirit, so that we may acknowledge our sins and, like David, take responsibility for them. For it is you we sin against, no one else.

Thank you, Father, for the assurances of our salvation. We know we are your children and, with Christ, heirs. Help us not take that adoption for granted; it is a miracle that you took a filthy pile of rags and changed them into children of God.

Forever worthy, Forever Majestic, Lord of Lord and King of Kings, we pray in the name of Christ Jesus, Amen.
