Happy Independence Day

Merciful Father,

Bless us this Independence Day, Lord. We are deeply grateful for those who made the supreme sacrifice, ensuring our freedom remains secure. We honor and remember them for their sacrifices in war and in keeping the peace. Let us never forget our brothers and sisters in the military and law enforcement who have bravely served and are now gone.

Thank you, Lord, for all of our first responders. Father, keep them safe while they go into places others run from and risk life for the lives of those they do not even know. Watch over and comfort their families. Father God, push back the waves of distrust, resentment, and hatred toward these brothers and sisters. Let others see the good.

Abba, on this Independence Day, we humbly acknowledge our nation's independence and profound and unwavering dependence on you. This reliance is not a burden but a reason for us to worship and glorify you. You are the provider of all things, the rescuer from sin and death, and we are forever grateful for your grace and mercy.

Father, bless this country, even as some turn away. Bless your saints, who love and worship you. Use us as Your vessels and open the doors so that others may come to know the true gospel. The Gospel that is Your Son, Christ Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.
