     In Messiah is a Christian blog rooted in reformed foundational Christian beliefs. These beliefs include the principles of the reformation contained in the five solas by which we are saved:

1) Sola fide (faith alone)

2) Solus Christus (Christ alone)

3) Sola gratia (grace alone)

4) Sola scriptura (Scripture alone)

5) Soli Deo gloria (glory to God alone).

It is these principles that separated the reformers from the Roman church.

 

     In Messiah also believes the following to be true:

God is the creator, redeemer, and sustainer. He is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. God is the creator of all things seen and unseen. All things were made for His glory.

     We worship a triune God. A God that is three in person, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, existing as one person our God. God is sovereign over the universe. God controls all things. He is the alpha and omega proclaiming the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10 ESV). We believe in predestination that there are those elected by God who are enabled to hear and understand the Gospel of Christ Jesus.

 

     We believe the Bible—the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments—was not composed “by human will, but men and women moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Bible contains God's breathed words. All scripture here can be found in the ESV (English Standard Version).

 

     In Messiah is designed to strengthen the faith of believers in our Messiah Christ Jesus. It is also designed for those who are seeking Christ but do not yet know Him. Here you will find scriptural devotions, thoughts, and beliefs in the Godhead (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), and for those who do not yet know Christ, a path to accepting Him as your personal Savior.

     Personally, after finding Christ my life was upended for the better. As written in Ezekiel 46:26 ESV, God removed the heart of stone from my flesh and gave me a heart of flesh. Returning to school I began studying theology, it was put upon my heart by God to evangelize and call as many people back to Him as possible. I hope the words you find here will warm your heart and draw you closer to Jesus. Let Jesus become the center of your life and find everlasting peace, love, and life through Him.
